Russell Peters Is Coming To Australia Next Month

Ango-Indian comedian Russell Peters is coming to Australia in March 2023 for his The Russell Peters Act Your Age World Tour.

When it comes to South Asian comedians that have garnered a strong following in the west, Russell Peters immediately comes to mind. The 52-year-old Canadian of Anglo-Indian heritage is known for his hilariously entertaining stand-up that often touches on race and stereotypes in a way that South Asian audiences in particular can find equally amusing and relatable.

Now he's heading to Australia, bringing his 'The Russell Peters Act Your Age World Tour' to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. Russell's initial plans to hit the stage earlier were interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I was supposed to start this tour in 2020, but then, I’m not sure if you guys heard, but something happened…”, he said in an official press statement.

No stranger to the small screen, Russell has most recently leant his talents to Mindy Kaling's animated TV show, Velma, in which he voices the character of Aman Dinkley (Velma's dad). You can also catch his 'Almost Famous' special on Netflix too.

The Aussie leg of Russell Peters' tour kicks off in Brisbane on Monday March 6, before heading to Melbourne on Wednesday March 8, then Sydney on Saturday March 11 and finally Perth on Tuesday March 14. More information about tickets can be found here.
